FEATURED PROJECTS
BALHAM PARK ROAD, SW12
A practical garden with maximum lawn/play space and pockets of scented flowers.

The brief here is to create a stylish garden as an extended outdoor space to the new house refurbishment, retaining a family friendly open area with little encroachment on to the footprint, thus maximizing as much lawn area as possible for the children.
The interest and detail in this garden to achieve the brief will come from design in the hard landscaping materials at floor level and vertically, together with the use of tall planting and trees to compensate for lack of border depth and division.
Low level hedging will protect planting from balls as an alternative to raised beds which would breach too far into the garden. Soft planting will flop over their restraint.

To complement a stunning fishbowl feature window to the room overlooking the garden, we have designed a raised built -in planter integral to the terrace featuring a gnarled olive tree focal point. Light porcelain paving will reflect maximum light levels to be flanked with reclaimed London stock brick walls with inset lighting.
Brick setts gives a sense of purpose and journey to the BBQ area replicated at the end of the garden leading to the arched gate, as well as forming the circular edge detailing repeated in different sizes for unity of detail and to provide perspective to make the garden seem bigger. London stock walling to the end will provide the balance and enclosure and will provide a lovely backdrop for trees and planting.
