The client was keen to retain the oval shape of the front section of the garden.

Aligning with the existing curves as best possible, we ran a soft line towards a new terrace area to the rear with raised beds and sofa seating enclosed by a lightweight pergola for scented climbers and roses.  New storage was painted and disguised with a feature screening framework and pockets of planting. Materials for the new terrace were introduced using the same paving as is adjacent to the house for a link of hard - landscaping throughout the scheme.  A designated place for the BBQ neatly separates this from the seating area whilst retaining close proximity to the entertaining zone.

WHAT

The brief for this garden was to update the former children’s play area to the rear and to provide family and entertaining space with framework covered seating, storage and BBQ.

TESTIMONIAL

Working with Tris was a pleasure from start to finish.  She responded quickly to our Brief and despite some monetary differences in the initial approach she worked really hard to find a way to work within our budget to create something which fitted beautifully and seamlessly into our existing garden.    Tris has a wonderful eye for design as well as a highly efficient approach and a great knowledge of different plant types.  She rigorously measured/checked and took time to understand our tastes and inspired us with new ideas.  She then found an excellent contractor to undertake the build and planting work which resulted in a space with imaginative and sympathetic planting which we really love and use year round.
