FEATURED PROJECTS
It was evident the dull and pretty useless corridor of this space needed to become part of the garden in its own right.
We took the opportunity to create, with interest, a journey along this corridor to be enjoyed as part of the overall garden before reaching the final terrace area at the back.
Our first alteration was digging out a decent sized breakfast seating area adjacent to the doors of the house before creating a change of level with steps along the corridor & in turn breaking up the space with 'blocks' of contrasting landscape materials.
WHAT
A very tricky shaped corridor with small offset space to the end.

This was softened with small standard trees on the diagonals with under-planting and an overhead structure for a sense of scented enclosure. The final destination of the 'entertaining terrace' was fully clad in painted battens of various sizes with interest and contrast from an 'infill' feature wall of London Stone Corten Design-Clad. The family were keen on entertaining so a large table and bespoke bench seating was designed under-planted and under-lit. A secondary pull-up bench allows for additional seating when needed. Deep red cushions, planters and bistro table and chairs for the breakfast terrace link back to an accent colour in the kitchen/family room for a sense of unity.

TESTIMONIAL
“Tris simply transformed an utterly uninspiring corridor into a fabulous outdoor space creating a bistro table breakfast terrace with ample storage along with a private enclave of a dining room to the rear for family use and entertaining. In between the 2, yet more design work created the most imaginative path, which feels like a garden in its own right. We absolute love being outside.
